Surveillance in New Orleans (In Progress)
Data Visualization & UX/UI Design for Article on Surveillance in New OrleansOverview
An interactive essay mapping the surveillance system in New Orleans, LA. The project, supported by the Investigative Journalism Fund, is a collaboration with journalist Michael Isacc Stein, researcher-artist Caroline Sinders, and developer Kaustubh Srikanth.
The Lens, the publication which the article will be published on, has a limited design for such project. Referencing their brand elements, I designed a specific layout and color scheme for the project. I also cleaned and worked with datasets provided by Michael to create maps showing known and unknown survillance cameras.
